Our valued community member, Sylvia, recently explored the wonders of Het Grachtenhuis, Museum of the Canals, and here’s a glimpse into Sylvia’s enlightening experience.

I spontaneously purchased a ticket for the canal museum through Get Your Guide. It is a Beautiful building faithfully furnished. 

When it opened at 10 o’clock sharp, I was there There was no one there yet. In a small group, there are fixed time slots. The story was beautifully illustrated and detailed with beautiful animations.

The canals of Amsterdam are beautiful. There are small replicas of the houses with films on how they were built. The tour lasted maybe an hour. You get a kind of listener by telling the story of the city. I found it a bit inconvenient as you can constantly hold it like a handset Had. You also don’t have the possibility to walk alone or a little longer in the different rooms.

It is a magnificent building, you immediately feel transported back in time. It’s a must-do if you’re in the city.
